Hello! I’m a reporter focused on cities and local government, with particular interests in housing, real estate, lobbying and influence peddling. I’m currently a politics reporter at New York Focus, a nonprofit newsroom covering power in New York state.
Before that, I spent three years at Crain’s New York Business, covering city and state government, housing and real estate, and money in politics. I’ve also worked as a neighborhood news reporter with New York City Patch, and reported for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Burlington Free Press/USA Today, the venerable Addison County Independent, and contributed a freelance investigative piece for VTDigger.
I graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont, where I was a managing editor for The Middlebury Campus, the college’s student newspaper.
